This is the Hytrans system, developed in The Netherlands for both flood control and for firefighting water relay roles. Various versions are available, with either high pressure, high volume or combined capability pumps and LHD hose layers with capacities up to 2000 metres, containing 100, 125, 150 or 200 MM hoses. The pumps are designed to float on the surface of any body of open water, powered by hydraulic fluid furnished by a self contained diesel pump which stays on terra firma. The pumps range from 3,500 LPM at 10 AT for firefighting up to 20,000 LPM at 2 AT for removing flood waters.
