These five 23/12 DLK ladder towers with articulated upper sections on 16 ton Scania 280 BHP 16 ton chassis with 12 speed automatic transmission were delivered last year to each of the city's full time stations.Three of the units they replaced were assigned to three of Dresden's volunteer fire stations; the other two went to other volunteer fire companies. The ladders are Metz - now a division of Rosenbauer - and the bodywork is of course also Rosenbauer. They are the first Scania units in the Dresden BFW, and some of a relatively small number in Germany where MAN, Mercedes and Iveco-Magirus tend to rule the roost. Karlsruhe is pretty much the only other German city to have a fondness for Scanias.

Must be a mistake, or the others were perhaps ordered but not yet delivered?
