Fire Engines Photos

Identical TL at Scarborough in the early 1960s. I believe these were diesels, and if so they were some of the earliest ones in use with British fire brigades.

Lasted until 1972 and sold to Rentokil. I saw it in London about 1974.

We had one of those Leyland Beaver's bought second hand in the 50's from Edinburgh in the old Fire Station in Dundee then replaced in 1960/61 by an AEC/Merryweather TL.
