Stuttgart has been operating low profile ladders since 1994, when the first unit was acquired. Each of the five full time stations has a TTL, with a sixth in reserve. When front line units are replaced, the older ones are relocated to volunteer stations in the city or sold off to volunteer fire companies in other communities.
