This was the German counterpart to the British AFS ATV and was generally quite similar. It’s standard equipment included a stretcher, however, and this was usually folded up and carried on the roof alongside the ladders.

The slatted roof was designed to accommodate wet and dirty hoses, so that they did not get mixed up with dry hoses which had not been deployed.
