This newly designed cab appeared back then on Renault, Iveco, DAF and Volvo trucks as well as these last badged Berliets, as Berliet was a division of Renault. Because it was used by four different and otherwise unrelated manufacturers, it was quickly christened the "Club of Four" cab. The crew cab, as illustrated here, used the same doors for both front and rear access, which explains the odd shaped B pillar window. After Magirus was later incorporated into Iveco, numerous Magirus Deutz fire trucks appeared with same cab. As well as the six seat version shown here, there was also an extended nine seat cab - as well as the standard two door.
The replacement cab is still shared by Renault, DAF and Volvo, but no longer features on any Iveco models.
