German hose trucks are rarely built with crew cabs, but - as this example illustrates - there is no rule to prevent a volunteer fire company from specifying one if they like. This 10 ton GVW 4X4 chassis is a military version with exceptional off road capabilities, and is an SW2000, meaning that it carries 2000 meters of preconnected 75mm flaked hose. Except for the 150mm LDH which comes with the relatively new Hytrans system, most German fire services still use only 75mm hose for water relaying, although twinned lines are not unusual if high volumes are called for...
