Morita 40 meter ladder tower on custom Hino low profile tandem axle chassis. To keep the wheelbase short in order to improve maneuverability the entire four door crew cab is unusually installed in front of the front axle. The cab can accommodate up to five crew, but these ladder towers usually respond with three or four firefighters on board. Though not universal, this custom design is fairly widespread in Japan, and makes for a very capable unit in a relatively compact format.

A 30 metre ladder tower is also widely in service on a two axle version of the same chassis with an identical low profile crew cab and locker configuration.

With the recent Hino cabins they look like more European TTL. the picture is definetely a 40m with lift built in the ladder.
