Built just before Magirus introduced their first hydraulic TTL, this was a ladder design which had not changed much since the frim first introduced steel ladders 27 years earlier. The chassis and cab design, along with the air-cooled 125 BHP V6 diesel engine, were introduced in 1951.

Crew cabs were popular - especially with volunteers who tended to have lots of manpower - but tended to fade in the 1960s and 1970s just as they did in many other countries.
