S&D Carmichael WrL demo later RAB498P
Appeared at InterFire 1975 Olympia, attractive in its white livery. Shelvoke and Drewry made appliances briefly in the 70s and 80s but are best known for dustbin lorries and other municipal vehicles.
This demonstrator ended up with Hereford&Worcester Brigade based at Worcester. It was offered by Carmichael to the local Brigade at supposedly reduced price in October 1975. There were only 2 made.
It was registered RAB498P, its sister appliance went on the run at Kidderminster. it spent several years at Yorkshire's Eggborough Power Station, then Santa Pod raceway. It is believed to be still in existence. May be with fire RAF Firefighting museum - see
