Hard to believe that in mid 1970s Chubb fire vehicle of Sunbury London won an export order to Logan Airport Boston USA (Massport). They sold 4x4 here and Chubb Pathfinder 6x6.
SCAMMELL Nubian 4 x 4 chassis, 4,4 m axle size. Central position of the driver.
Engine General Motors Detroit Diesel Turbo 8V92T, with 321 kW at 2100 rpm. Acceleration from 0 to 80 km / h in less than 45 seconds.
Automatic transmission of 5 Allison relations, permanent on all 4 wheels.
Space for 3-4 firefighters.
Tank with 10,000 liters of water and 1200 liters of foam.
GODIVA UFP Mk 14 pump, with a discharge capacity of 10,000 liters of water in only 2 minutes.
Roof monitor with the capacity to expel up to 41,000 liters / min of water or 20,500 liters / min of expanded foam.
Weight : 27 tonnes.

Hello, The Chubb "Patroller" Crash Tenders were either based on a Shelvoke & Drewry chassis or Reynolds Boughton chassis. Chubb did build on the Scammell "Nubian Major 2" chassis and these were sold as "Protectors". The Boston vehicles would have been based on the Boughton Chassis.
