Only 26 Dennis Miles were ever built apparently.

Due to their lightweight aluminium bodies, these were able to carry a full 400 IG water tank, which was beyond the capacity of the traditional wood framed Dennis F8s. They all had a standard 200 IG tank, with 300 or 350 as an option, but at the cost of much reduced locker space. The relatively small number of Miles bodied F8s probably has to do with the fact that the same bodies and capacities were already available on Bedford, Commer and Dodge chassis - all of which would have been less expensive and well into service with numerous brigades.
