It was a combined Hose Layer and Foam Carrier, that served with Somerset Fire Brigade (allocated to Bridgwater fire station) from 1963 to 1982.

This appliance according to ex brigade members was the last operational machine with Somerset Fire Brigade to retain its bell. When the bell was removed along with the bracket its was mounted on a plinth and was on display at the brigades headquarters for a number of years. Sadly long since disappeared.
