This bodywork looks a lot like the older Malaysian TK Bedfords on this site, which are quite unlike anything built by HCB-Angus. These were all built around the factory cab, which was a less expensive way of building than the typical HCB-Angus coachbuilt cab.

So maybe the badge came from somewhere else, or the firm got a custom order to build this type of cab?

This appliance is in Aidan Fisher's excellent little book on HCB-Angus products p.81. Bedford TL750 with 100gal.water and 200film pump. Does say though that Carmichael helped with production as it was a very tight delivery timescale.

It was actually an HCB order for 22 identical units, although they had Carmichael do most of the bodywork on quite a lot of them!

This rather rudimentary crew cab was an HCB "designed" full tilting crew cab, built around the standard Bedford TL cab. It looked a lot like fixed crew cabs built by HCB on TK chassis supplied earlier to Malaysia, which were quite a lot simpler than the coachbuilt crew cab designs HCB sold in the UK.

So I guess the HCB Angus badge belongs there after all!
