Land Rover Branbridge low profile L4P 1970s FUK999L Wolverhampton designed this as a low profile light pump - note the cab roof is flattened, the ladder below roof line, and the beacon on the bodywork not roof. It was based at Wolverhampton where they had recently opened the Mander shopping centre, which had restricted access. Similar small pumps for shopping centres appeared in other cities, like Newcastle, though they did not last long. It was actually used on the large fire at the Mander centre 1970.It ended up at Wellesbourne Airfield Warwickshire in yellow livery as RIV. See my
picture 20945.
There was also a FUK998L.
Late Alastair Collins collection - used with permission.
