Dennis 250

An oldie but still beautiful this early Dennis 250 is typical of the early fire engines Australia as most trucks were bought from England up until the Mid 1970's then most Brigades started buying Australian built trucks. These Dennis 250's are now rare in Australia as most were pulled down and the pumps used on other trucks when they were decommisioned.

The Fire Brigade social club at Orange NSW. has a 250 that is registered on historical plates and used for public relations and lots of Santa runs. It was restored in 1984 and is still in fair condition. I would like to get hold of a service manual if such a thing exists.

There is one of these currently living at the Port Adelaide Fire Station, South Australia. Give the Station a call and arrange an inspection if time permits.
