Fire Engines Photos

Was this a pump, or did it tow a trailer pump?

It seems to my eyes to look more like an overgrown but very posh estate car than a fire engine, and must have had rather limited space for the crew, hoses and tools.

I like the livery: it reminds me of the prewar Newcastle engines, which was continued into the 1960s...

They somehow manged to look more expensive than their red counterparts!

There is a rear mounted Dennis pump. There are side benches and a bench up the centre of the crew cab. The interior is completely enclosed because it was designed as a gas proof vehicle.
