Japanese people in general are very keen on keeping their possessions clean and in good repair, and fire services are no exception!

Because their trucks - including older reserve units - are so immaculate and well maintained, they are very well regarded in export markets when they have finally completed their service life in Japan.

Sometimes they are reworked to add features or specifications, but very often - like thus example - they continue their service life on foreign shores largely unchanged.

Japanese fire service personnel's attitude to cleanliness is best illustrated by the fact that their trucks are routinely cleaned top to bottom - including the entire underside!
