taken about 1986 Canning Place FS, Liverpool. This appliance only lasted about three years. From memory this was Merryweather's last throw of the dice, as they launched a new ladder to compete with Metz and Magirus, but failed. I asume it was unreliable and did not survive. see also my picture 21084 for fuller story. There are other XRLs on this site too.
