Fire Engines Photos

This appliance was new to Scunthorpe Borough Fire Brigade in July 1939. It's an FK8 model..I spoke to the owner at Lincolnshire Steam and Vintage Rally some two months after this show (not knowing he had recently bought it) and bought it off him the following week !... It will be returning home to Scunthorpe !

Paul ..I will keep you updated..I was not aware Betsy served at Scunthorpe..I'm trying to contact my old Stn officer...he's about 85 now and may be able to assist ?

Thanks Rick, from what we have heard Betsy served at Scunthorpe, Gainsborough and Immingham after returning from The Blitz in London. If we get this birthday party organised maybe you and your old station officer would like to attend?

I have the old 'cancelled' buff log book for BBE 357. My Stepmother's late father bought it in 1966 and then sold it a couple of years ago, presumably to the chap you bought it off...
If you get in touch, you can have the log book and any other BBE 357 bits and pieces that are found.
