Unusual configuration with a standard crew cab and an additional side door in the rear section. Most rescues of this vintage had a center aisle body accessible from the rear of the crew cab just like the traditional British Emergency Tender, with another set of doors in the center at the back of the vehicle...

Long Island has a lot of volunteer fire companies - more than 190 in Nassau County alone - and many of them have quite individualistic liveries. This Lynbook unit is quite restrained compared to some!

According to the Company's website, this rig is actually an air utility, not a rescue - which explains its rather unusual body style...
