Humberside (Hull) Fire Boat Clara Stark

My Father-in-Law, Fred Newmarch, was on the Hull Fireboat, Clara Stark. He is the gentleman on the Stern.

His son, also called Fred, was a fireman and became a Station Oficer with Humberside Fire Brigade.

could anyone tell me where the clara stark was built? I would love to make a model of her but need the plans.

As far as I know Clara Stark was build by the Union Dry Dock & Engineering Co.Hull in 1935. I think this became the Drypool Engineering Co. Ltd. which went into Receirship in 1976. Hope this helps.

Mr father bought the Clara Stark when it was sold by the Fire Brigade after being replaced with the new fibre glass boat.

He sold the pumps and monitors to a firm in London who were building a fire fighting tug at the time.
