St. Louis Fire Department - Squad 2Squad 2 is one of two identical heavy rescue units operated by the St. Louis Fire Department. I've had the honor of riding along with this crew numerous times, and I rate them as one of the best firefighting teams in the US.
Squads 1 and 2 are built by SVI (Super Vac) on Spartan Gladiator chassis. The body is built using 12 ga. stainless steel formed sheet metal construction. Features include rear winch, roll-up doors, shelving, roll out trays, tool boards, PTO generator, electric cable reels, light tower, hydraulic rescue tool systems, cascade air systems, fill stations, air hose reels and PTO tool air compressor.
