Following the 9-11 attacks Miami Dade Fire Rescue (FL) placed into service an Engine carrying a red livery, the only one to do so in the department, as a tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters who died at the World Trade Center.
Seen at the FDIC show, Indianapolis in April 2015 this 2015 Rosenbauer Commander is the latest apparatus to continue that tradition. The black stripe carries the names of all 343 lost firefighters within in.
The vehicle has a 1250gpm pump and 750 gallon water tank.

Great looking rig. And a fitting tribute by Miami-Dade to the FDNY firefighters lost to us on 9-11. The black stripe containing all the names of the fallen is a real nice touch too. Actually, I'm quite moved by it. Having worked in the vehicle vinyl-application business myself, I'm assuming that this part must be a vinyl decal rather than a painted mural. And I'm getting a cold sweat on the forehead just thinking of the responsibility put on the shoulders of whoever created it -- just to get the roll call complete and all the spellings correct! Good job.
