Used extensively in its day by the Italian National Fire Service (VdF) and authorities in some areas of southern France, as well as several other Mediterranean countries with brush fire issues.

The ONFF are the only ones that I know of to have had yellow units, everyone else had traditional red.

By 2011 this was already a very old design, but CCF units are usually only busy for a few months each year - so they often remain in service for twenty or thirty years, or even longer.

This and other makes of CCF 2000 are considered a light unit. The medium ones have a 4000 liter tank and the heavy units carry 6000. Items like the front winch and rollover bars are standard, and now these include spray nozzles to protect the crew as well as to inhibit tire fires.
