Sledmere, East Riding and latterly Humberside Fire

Sorry about the condition, an old paper cutting of the crew from Sledmere Fire Station from the 60's / 70's.

Orignally in the Eat Riding Fire Brigade and swallowed up into Humberside in 1974, the one pump station closed in 2007/8

1950s vintage Commer Carmichael pump water tender, very similar - if not identical - to the York City one, which was later sold to Rowntree's chocolate factory, and became the design for the Dinky Supertoys fire engine model.
