Mercedes trucks are built under license in Iran, so its not surprising they are by far the most commonly found brand in all of their fire stations.
It was a bit of a surprise however to learn that PWC, which provided all of the logistical support for the US forces in Kuwait for the military occupation of Iraq operated an enormous fleet of Mercedes tractors, all of which had been assembled in Iran - which was under US sanctions at the same time!
