This is an example of Rosenbauer's "Compact Line", many of which are based on Sprinters, including both 4X4 and even 6X6 versions.

This is not too different than what UK fire engine builders used to do to often-overloaded Land and Range Rovers. Except that these have much higher payloads, lightweight aluminum bodies and Rosenbauer really do respect the weight limits they have to work with.

The line includes small pumpers, portable pump carriers, units with CAF installations, light rescues like this example and a variety of industrial fire trucks and minor alarm trucks.
