I prefer the coach built. Reason is access and "the drop". When wearing a set these steps need a great deal of thought by a BA man. One reason, IMHO, that the Sabre, Rapier, Bedfords shone, crew access. I spent many years on airfield machines, all with a long way to travel to solid ground. I also spent many years retained on wonderful, safe and predictable pumps mentioned above. Believe me, connecting with concrete, at night with a BA set on hurts. Long live the coach builder!
