New Zealand HoyleWas rather surprised to find this still intact in February 2014! One of a handful of airport crash tenders built in New Zealand to modified Bedford chassis, this 1981 Hoyle Arrestor was new to Christchurch Airport with the Ministry of Transport but was later acquired by Mt Cook Airlines and based at Mt Cook airport where I found it. Unfortunately it could/would not be started and its main role these days is in waterblasting the runway clear of debris/snow.
