This must be the most impressive back door to any fire station anywhere! It would do justice to most cathedrals. I hope old Central always had a TL on hand to keep the heraldic crest shining.

Note the 50ft Ajax escape ladder standing free on its props. They certainly stopped any tendency for the ladder to whip when you ran up it and were used even when the head was supported against a building.
