This must have been the vehicle which the Dinky Supertoys model was based on. Not only the locker and hose reel positioning, but the rear pump installation nad suction hoses are identical.

Nice to know the Dinky model 555 was so closely and accurately based on an actual Commer Carmichael type B pump water tender with a Dennis pump!

My mistake! I confused this York appliance with my hometown Darlington’s very similar Commer Carmichael RHN 999, which was originally bought as an A type and then had the Dennis pump from an NFS 500 gpm trailer fitted.
