According to "The Fire Brigade handbook special appliances" VJL 11L was new to Holland County Borough in Lincolnshire in 1972 serving at Boston until 1989 when it was moved to Skegness until being withdrawn in 1994. HCB-Angus bodywork SS70 booms.

This was originally the Holland Riding of Lincolnshire appliance.

This was destroyed by fire in tunstall, Stoke on Trent around 2004. Was being used in the demolishion of the Royal Doulton factory.

PF chassis were lightweight and not used for platforms. This appliance was an ERF 84RS/HCB-Angus/Simon SS70 with Jennings cab and Rolls-Royce B81SV straight-8 petrol engine. This was arare example of a fire brigade platform with R-R engine being sold for further use intact. Yorkshire, not Lincolnshire, had "Ridings". In the county of Lincoln they were known as 'Parts', so 'Parts of Holland', 'Parts of Kesteven' and 'Parts of Lindsey'.
