Landrover FC110 - Fire Appliance (YWK 177K)
This Coventry registered vehicle with a Rover crest on the door was seen at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, Blandford Forum, Dorset, England in September 1999.
It MAY have been a factory appliance at the Rover plant in Solihull, England. Maybe some one can identify the body builder and provide some history on the vehicle.

Most certainly this is a Carmichael bodied FC Landrover

These were showing up all over the shop once. Army Fire Service had a few as did the RAF (I drove one at Saxa Vord in the seventies). There was also an ex Hertfordshire machine manned by volunteers at Leavsden Hospital in Watford. I can never tire of seeing these, a very useful little pump that carried an impressive amount of gear.

John, although the Army fire service had similar forward control land rovers, they were built by HCB Angus, so the bodywork was not exactly like this Carmichael built example.
