Buxton water carrier

This really neat looking water tender serves the Derbyshire Fire Service in the town of Buxton. This was an ex British Military Vehicle and is a 1998 Bedford IM 4x4 with PP and 6819 litre water tank. This was photographed during a visit in 2010.

I've not been past the new station for a few months but this Water Carrier is listed on the most current fleet list that I have, dated February 2013, as still being on the run.

Aren't they TMs? Staffordshire had two similar vehicles up until a few years ago.

Yes they are TM's, Steve Sparkes just made a typo. I don't think the Staffs machines are still in service as they have a new tanker based at Cannock.

This vehicle went into service in the mid to late 1980s. It was mainly manned by Retained Fireman at Buxton.
I have fond memories of turning out on this vehicle..

Smart looking machine. It has since been replaced by WX14 ZPG a MAN TGM 18.290/Emergency One/Crosland Tankers water carrier
