Any idea who did the bodywork on these ? The locker module looks a bit higher than most other appliances as it`s almost the same height as the cab roof. Also, the first locker looks a bit wider than the others.

Hi do you know what stations will get them?

Out of interest whos the bodybuilder? Looks like E-one but can't see a badge on the grill.

Hi Guys, Regarding the first locker being wider than normal; is this not a longer wheelbase chassis than normal?

Added by Tony Jones on 17 January 2014.
W H Bence are the bodybuilders.

These look huge. Chassis details would be interesting. Maybe these have an extra role to perform as well as the rescue-pump role?

Hello Yelp..
These are been used to help reduce Appliance Numbers on Station's so they will be used to replace the need of RESCUE TENDER'S or EMERGENCY TENDER'S on Stations so Saving Money!

Hi Yelp, they are a dual purpose vehicle, they are a pump that will carry crash rescue equipment as the two heavy rescue trucks that Cleveland have are to be withdrawn from service. Have a nice day Ian mc

Same as the rescue pumps in use with most brigades , few now use dedicated e/t appliances any more , in Tayside for instance there is a rescue pump on every station , on two pump stations there is a rescue pump and wt/l , on one pump it is a rescue pump , saves money in the long run and reduces time to incident , great idea that works now that makes a change , all r/p also have water rescue equipment and a twin reel holmatro cut and spread turbo on a cradle , as well as airbags/rams /tic/and all the usual small gear usually carried on the old e/t , there are 2 heavy rescue pods which have very heavy rescue equipment which is available for extreme rescue situations , all good and sensible stuff , as I say great idea

There is a good article with spec. on these new rescue pumps on the W H Bence website under 'Our Work' 'Emergency Services'
