Not a common sight in many French fire stations. But nothing on wheels can match this if you really need to get through a blizzard!

First delivered to the Swedish military in 1980, after several years in development, the Hagglund has wide rubber tracks on both units.

The front unit has space for a six person crew, while the trailer can be customized to virtually any customer specification. These options include firefighting and rescue bodies, additional seating for 11, an ambulance compartment and many others.

In addition to its light footprint due to the track area, the vehicle combinations themselves weigh less than five tons, which help them "float" over snow or ice covered landscapes, as well as sand or mud.

They are used by military forces in nearly thirty countries, as well as by fire services, medical/ rescue organizations and various private users - most of whom seem to usually buy used military equipment...
