Based on a 1981 Subaru MPV, this vehicle was the idea of Sir Tim Wallis, founder of the historic warbirds fighter collection at Wanaka and provides an immediate AFF response capability to the Wanaka airport. It was photographed in October 2013.

Thanks David, there are many of these old Subarus giving farm service around us. First one I have ever seen in a fire fighting role though!
