J74 GRV was Worthing's first Dennis Rapier, one of the initial batch of 4 Rapiers for West Sussex (J73 - J76 GRV) delivered to West Sussex, going on the run on June 18th 1992. This picture shows it running as 2nd WTL 0112 have dropped down to 2nd appliance after Rapier N141 DPX arrived in the new White stripe livery.. Although in original livery she has been fitted with strobe lights replacing original revolving beacons and new strobe front repeaters which did not match the bodywork hence the silver surrounds. She ran as 0112 from 1995 - 1999 before becoming retained 0113. Sadly she met a very sad end as part of a firework display at Alton Towers. Crawley's J73 GRV was fitted with Strobe lights from new, but the rest of the batch had traditional blue lights when new. Two tones were originally fitted under the front bumper, but soon moved to the roof.
