Marcel, one wonders about the communication with the crew in the lower back cab and the front Officer. The previous photo of the French Renault was an excellent crew situation. It allows for direct interaction with all on board so that on arrival at a situation everyone's 'singing off the same hymn sheet, , '

Pav. Its done with open mike and speaker systems. Forty plus years ago, when I sold the first Ford D series pumpers with standard tilting truck cabs, we simply removed the rear cab window and installed a huge concertina rubber grommet around the hole to keep (most of) the rain out. You may have noticed a lot of crew cab fire apparatus these days are increasingly the split-tilt kind, and modern electronics do make communication simpler and clearer than before.
