E257 is a reserve unit. It looks to me as if it might be one of the old 135 foot Moritas on E-One chassis.

Definitely wrong

Danny:

Do you have any other suggestions?

It is the only five section aerial I have ever seen in Chicago, apart of course from the Morita.

Its ladder is sign written "Ladder Tower One", which was presumably its designation before it was placed on the reserve list. I seem to remember LT1 was the Morita's designation, when it was on its original Hendrickson chassis.

So what do you believe it is?

Further research indicates that the old Morita 135 foot Ladder 1 had a different appearance with the ladders stacked more squarely, so this must be another manufacturer. Was it built by EOne, who built the cab, or by another firm?
