Between 1962 and 1978 this lovely Chevrolet 4302 Apache could be seen in action in the Dutch town of Schalkwijk. The bodywork is from Kronenburg. The pump capacity is 2200 l/m.

Do you know - in the 1950's USA, people drove around, in this size Chevrolet, as an ordinary private car ?! Gasoline was cheap, and the times were a-booming.

Amazing to think it could be a Fire Engine.
