That is NOT the Confederate flag. It is the old Georgia State flag which had the St. Andrews cross of the Confederate battle flag as part of the end of the flag. (the stars were for each of the Confederate States)
Not a Confederate battle flag, it is a Georgia state flag that was in use from 1956-2001. No doubt the photo was taken pre-2001.The Confederate battle flag is not in public use, however it is seen on private property, even above the Mason-Dixon line. The GA. state flag info is easily researched via Wiki, so there was no need for the provocative post, unless that was your intent...
My intention was humour, but as it has caused upset I apologize. We fly the Stars and Stripes with thanks at our Control Tower Museum to honour those who fought along side us in WW11. Still a great photo and a superb machine.
