KX62 HGP. Not sure of the manufacturer but this was being used by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service to give children a short ride at the Emergency Services Day at The Trafford Centre, Manchester 08/08/2013.

Does this have any actual firefighting role?

It's a Fox electric vehicle which is part of the Community Vehicles fleet for events etc. Used to give kids fire engine rides. has LED lights front and rear and yelp and wail sirens. The ladder appears just for effect but it does have a hose reel and water tank.

Seems like a rather expensive toy in these days of fire service cutbacks, station closings and manning reductions.

Rob, my thoughts exactly, some odd priorities out there.
Why not use a full size appliance which is due to be replaced?

Thanks Rob, you read my mind!
