Opel-"Blitz" LF-8-TS,Vol.FD,OttenheimIn 1952 a conflaguration hit the small village Ottenheim at the river Rhine near the city of Lahr, Germany (state of Baden-Wuertemberg) 5 houses and 7 barns were wrecked after an arson set fire...there was a vol FB then but without a fire engine !, after this disaster this beautiful Opel "Blitz" 1.75 ton with bodywork by Metz, Karlsruhe was ordered an > LF 8-TS > fire engine with portable pump > 800 L /min...crew of 9, 68 HP,it served until 1987 when it went off the run being preserved by fire fighters at a local barn.
