This beautifully restored 1937 International/Sealand Pumper is owned by the Atwood Hose Fire Company of Wauregan,Connecticut. It has a 350 GPM power takeoff pump.
Beautifully characteristic small town volunteer fire company pumper. No frills - but it does have the all-important coat racks for boots and gear, as the volunteers would make their own way to the incident and (hopefully) find some items that more or less fit before getting down to doing some serious firefighting work...
Some volunteer fire companies, including those in Greenwich CT, still do this, although in this case they employ full-time apparatus drivers - and the volunteers have better-fitting turnouts which they keep in their own private vehicles!
