New Zealand Scania Bronto BSY908Completed by Frasers in 2004, this Scania 124GB with Bronto F17CTL boom was the first of ultimately eleven similar examples built as part of the NZFS aerial modernisation plan (a further seven examples were built on the P420 chassis). This example was new to Invercargill and did suffer from chassis cracking requiring re-engineering. It is now the relief aerial for the top half of the South Island and is based in Christchurch. It was photographed at Sockburn station in June 2013.
