Taken 14/7/2013 at the Powderham Classics Show.

Supplied in 1891 by Merryweather & Co to the Basset family who lived at Tehidy Park, Camborne, Cornwall.
In the mid-1950's it was given to the West of England Steam Engine Society who still own it.

John, in the absence of comment may I firstly say what a great subject matter and allow me a couple of queries for the un initiated. I have never seen in real life an appliance of this nature in action, prehaps one day, , I suspect you will draft from the portable dam, is that where the suction hose is positioned? I imagine the appliance would have been under two horses and harness, etc.
