This vehicle really intrigues me. At first glance I thought it was a ex-MOD LHD TM 4-4 but it certainly isn't. It is a four wheel drive TM left hooker but it is civilian or civilianised. The cab is full width with steps ahead of the front wheels and it has a civilian bumper not the split military style. What engine is fitted I wonder? Another question is why it carries a Worcestershire Q plate[AB] - registered by Carmichael in Worcester I presume.I guess that it may be an export spec. vehicle. If anyone has any information I would love to know a little more.

It was, apparently, a Carmichael demonstrator, but I cannot help beyond that as to the origin of it.

It fits the type for an AFS range machine, however it would seem a cancelled overseas order would explain it.

Guys,
I would think this may be a one-off as there are not many fire appliances based on the Bedford TM 4x4.
Q plates are issued to vehicles where the owner is not able to provide documentary evidence of the the year of manufacture to the DVLC.
