Crown Fire engine at route 66 Arizona

When I was driving from Seligman Arizona to Kingman I drove by the Grand Canyon Caverns Inn. There was this Crown Fire engine parked. Don't know anything about the history of this truck, perhaps anyone has a clue?
According to the writing at the side this is Engine 17 from Grand Canyon Caverns and Inn Fire department. But there is also a sticker with Smokeys Fire trucks dot com. Visited that website and they provide Birthday parties and special events. This company is based in California.

Crown was primarily a bus builder, and their buses and fire trucks were always distinguished by their unusual vertical quad headlights. Based in California, they were used by numerous west coast fire departments.

This example was originally open cab; the canopy roof is a later addition.
